Finally, I get to play a First Lady!
The first time I appeared in 1776 was in 2006 as Martha Jefferson, and understudying Abby. I was dismayed to learn while doing research that Martha died before she could become First Lady. It was a pleasure getting to play Abigail at Hofstra, where I also did a special reading of the correspondence of John and Abby with Bob Spiotto as entertainment in tandem with the 2008 Presidential Debate.
